Almost everyone dreams at night, even if it's in your subconscious, we are dreaming. Some are just from last nights pizza, while others are from God and need a Christian Interpretation of dreams.
Dreaming can be a way God communicates to us, this is not the only way, but one of the ways. We normally can realize quicker that this is God speaking to us, than him speaking to us personally. Christian interpretation of dreams comes straight from the Bible. There are many books out there that deal with this. Let's say you dreamt about a snake, snakes have a specific christian interpretation that is based on Biblical principles, which we should not ignore.
Literal or Symbolic?
This is something else that we sometimes struggle to define in our dream. Should we take it literally or was it just a symbolic happening. It could even be something that might happen similar to the way you saw it, just with different details. Like a different person or place, but the idea is the same.
Normally we can define the difference. If one part of the dream is symbolic then the rest should be. If it all contains literal things and people then it should be considered literal.
Christian interpretation of dreams is a way for us to understand what God is trying to say to us.
